University of Ghana: Updates For Level 100 Students.

1. "Deadline for Uploading Courses and Linking of second semester courses to Lecturers (All Second Semester Courses, All Levels)" is an activity done by the Lecturers where they make courses available for the next semester known to the Academic Office for them to be uploaded unto the MisWeb platform in order for students to be able to register when the portal for registration is opened. It is a no student business so kindly disregard anything you hear about its deadline being two days away so you must register for a course, it's all falsehood and hearsays.

2. Course registration for 100's in the second semester begins on Monday May 31 and ends on Friday June 25th, 2021. You should understand it is within this period that the portal will be open to register your courses, not now, not any day before it.

3. The Modular System comes with paying Residential fees on semester basis, it is therefore important to note that the hall fees paid in the first semester has served it's purpose. You will have to pay the same amount previously into this year's residential Account to be able to register for your room. However, there will be no payment of JCR & WELFARE DUES, FUEL LEVY OR GENERATOR LEVY so do the substraction and know the amount that lies ahead. Date for reporting of the level 100's and 400's is on Thursday June 17 to Sunday June 20, 2021, lectures begin on the following day Monday, June 21 2021.

4. Grades for the courses taken in the first semester have started being uploaded and you should know that if had a grade of E or F you must re-sit that course again. However, you are eligible to take the grade E courses optionally (eligible to 5 E's) but the Grade F courses are compulsory to be taken. The date to register for these failed papers is Monday, August 9 to Friday August 13 2021, you can not write it at home now before you reopen, it's not possible. And note that these Re-sit Examinations are supplementary Examinations only (there will be no Lectures or any form of studies for you, you will have to get the slides and learn on your own) unlike a Main Re-sit Examination.

It is prudent to see your Lecturer if you think being awarded a grade E or F was an oversight or a system glitch, these things happen but make sure your stance will have validity and proof.

I am available for more information, clarification and any assistance I could give with regards to the aforementioned issues. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.
