New: Reopening Date for Ghana Colleges of Education Out

The 2021/2022 teacher training reopening dates has been released today. According to a post sighted on the official website site of the colleges of education www.coenewsportal.com and confirmed on the official Facebook page of Colleges of Education, the new reopening day of colleges of education is scheduled to begin in November 2021 for continuing students and January 2022 for new admitted students.

" Continuing students of colleges of Education are to report on Saturday, November 6th, 2021 to commence the 2021/2022 academic calendar year". The release said.

According to the release the newly admitted students from the 46 colleges of education in Ghana are also to note that, they will be reporting on campus in next year, Saturday, January 8th 2022.

Face to face interaction and lectures will commence again for the continuing students after previous virtual online academic works. The impact of COVID - 19 has greatly cause many changes to the prior academic calendar of the various colleges of education.

It is important to note that various applicants waiting to gain admissions to the colleges are yet to see their status. As at now the admission list for the various colleges has not yet being released.

On September 2021, a preliminary calendar was released by PRINCOF which was posted on Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana's (TTAG) Facebook page. In that release, newly admitted students were to report on 11 January 2022 but now the date has been scheduled to 8th January 2022.

The fees to be paid by various colleges of education students are as follows; Level 400s are to pay GH¢ 998.86, GH¢ 1,223.75 for level 300s, Level 200s to settle GH¢ 1,431.23 and the freshers or newly admitted level 100 students are to pay GH¢ 2,601.30. PRINCOF however added that the fees may be subject to changes.
