Ningo Prampram District in the Greater Accra has only two Senior High Schools, the schools are Ningo Senior High Technical School and Prampram Senior High School. Both Schools have no vehicle, the last time these schools were given a vehicle was in 2009. Other schools have been given over three vehicles since 2009. These schools are always left out in educational tour, sporting activities and field trips. The Schools have to hire bus to transport students to educational programs and other co- curricula activities.
The location of Ningo Senior High Technical School is difficult for teachers, house masters and Mistresses to transport sick student to the near by hospital, commercial motorbike service popularly known as okada is what staff use to transport sick student to the nearby clinic, imagine a motorbike transporting sick student on deplorable nature of the road from the school to the Ningo town.
The Ningo Senior High Technical School is one of the best performing school in the Grater Accra Region, the school has been consistent in the performance in the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), Ningo Senior High School was second to Presbyterian Boys Senior High School in the 2019 WASSCE Greater Accra Regional ranking and sixteenth in the National ranking.
Ningo Senior High Technical School is one of the double track schools in the country, one or two infrastructural project have been completed in all the double track schools as the government prepare to abolish double track in the 2022 academic year, not a single block has been laid in the Ningo Senior High School, the school has only one dormitory block serving over eight hundred girls while a six unit classroom block has been converted to a dormitory, serving over seven hundred boys. There is no dormitory block in the school funded by government.
The natives of Ningo have queried why the entire town and the only school in the town has been ignored, politics affecting the school, natives of Ningo are day students, all the boarding students are from different part of the country. You need to visit the school to witness the deplorable nature of the school.
