WASSCE 2020: 14 Students Dismissed, Teachers Interdicted

Senior High Students in four (4) Schools have been dismissed for various undisciplined acts recorded during the writing of the Imtergrated Science Examination paper on Monday, 3rd August,2020.

The students, some of who were seen in viral social media videos venting their anger at President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and invigilators for being strict on them during invigilation have been barred from taking part in the ongoing examination.

Students from Sekondi College, Tweneboah Kodua Senior High Schools, Battor Senior High School and Juabeng Senior High School.

The Students, all numbering fourteen are expected to leave the various compounds immediately, while students in the schools where these destruction of school properties occured have be surcharged with the full cost of the damages as their results will be withheld for that reason.

Meanwhile, three teachers of Kade Senior High School habe also been interdicted and barred from invigilation, pending the conclusion of investigations into the alleged roles in some of the reported cases.

The release signed by the Director-General of Ghana Education Service has further directed that all acts of Valdalism and other criminal cases be reported to the police for Investigations.

Additionally, Examination center of Bright Academy in Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region has been derecognised and moved to Ofori Penin Senior High School.
