Yesterday John Mahama was spotted in Ghana Senior High School for the 60th anniversary of the School. The former president was the guest of honor during the school’s celebration. John Mahama has never hidden his love for his old school and has been supporting them in diverse ways. Perhaps, one of his greatest gifts was the donations he made yesterday to the school.
John Mahama handed over to the school 2 fully renovated dormitories. The dormitories are to serve the Gbanzaba and Cabral Houses. John Mahama explained that he received sad news that the dormitories were in a bad state and he felt it was only right that he stepped in and blessed his former school with a gift as a token of his love.
Interestingly, the wife of John Mahama also did her part. Lordina Mahama sponsored the repainting of the houses and replaced the nets of the girls’ dormitory, which is affectionately called the Lordina Block. Ghanaians have reacted to this present that John Mahama. many can be generally considered sympathizers of the opposition National Democratic Congress though. But be though as it may John Mahama deserves plaudits for the renovations. As a statesman and former student it was only right that he acted on this plea.
