The Ghana Education Service has rescheduled the reopening date for newly placed Senior High School Students in Form 1.
In a Press Release signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of Public Relations Unit, explained that the postponement has become necessary to provide ample time for parents and students to prepare for school, as well as enable school management to prepare for their arrival.
The new dates for the arrival of the students have however been scheduled for Thursday 18th March to Sunday 21 March 2021, from the earlier announced 10th March 2021.
By this new arrangement, academic work is expected to begin on Monday, 22nd March 2021, as management noted that the extension will further allow other students to enroll as they are yet to do so.
Meanwhile, Management of the Service has also granted request by the Head of Senior High School to have Mid Semester Break from Monday 8th March to Thursday 11th March 2021, citing that the mid-semester break is not compulsory as students are allowed to stay on campus if they so wish. They must however adhere to school rules while they take this option.
"All Parents, Students and the general public are to take note of the dates", it added.
