The road to LUV FM's Senior High School Debate grand finale is shaping up nicely as some of the big names are into the last sixteen (16). The usual notable names include Prempeh College, Yaa Asantewaah Girls, Opoku Ware School, Kumasi Anglican Senior High School among others.
However, a lesser known school interms academics, St Jerome, Abofour, is determined to upset the likes of Prempeh College and Opoku Ware School.
St Jerome Senior High School has paraded an all female contingent. The surprising aspect is that the girls are all in Senior High School 2(SHS 2). From left, they are Regina Bekoe, Christabel Nana Takyiwaah and Richarda Opoku.
According to the trainer of the eloquent students, the girls are very confident and capable of speaking in public. He added that they (Debators) are poised to take the ultimate to Abofour as the Kumasi-based schools have dominitaed in both academic and co-curricular activities in the region.
Sources close to the girls reveal that, they (the girls) want to take careers in legal practice (and) or journalism due to their control over English Language.
