Head of Ghana Council of WAEC, Mrs. Wendy Addy- Lamptey on Monday indicated that the supposed leak is untrue, misleading and creating anxiety among the candidates and the public.
“Effective and innovative mechanisms have been put in place to ensure a credible examination”, she added.
Executive Director of the Africa Education Watch, Kofi Asare, alleged on social media that he had taken steps to alert WAEC of the leakage of the Food and Nutrition Practical lll examination questions of the 2021 WASCCE.
According to Mrs. Wendy this is not the first time the Council is having such misleading circulation from Africa Education Watch hence the need to verify before putting it out to the public domain.
She noted that if care is not taken reputations of institutions and the nation as a whole could be irreparably damaged in the eyes of the international community.
“While we welcome feedback which we believe helps us to take corrective actions to improve, the reckless circulation it creates needles put pressure on WAEC, the candidate, the parent and the various stakeholders”
“Local and international body that use our results for the admission of Ghanaians into tertiary institutions may doubt the credibility of our certificates making the Ghanaian child the ultimate loser”, she complained.
The Council also cautioned candidates to desist from activities of websites created purposely for leaked question.
