GES directs all teachers to participate in this

The Ghana Education Service has launched a new programme to boost the learning of mathematics in basic schools across the country. The programme dubbed national mathematics day is to encourage both teachers and students from the kindergarten to the senior high level to take mathematics seriously.

This year's programme is the maiden one which to be celebrated on the 14th of February,2021.

The theme for the celebration is ''Mathematics for a better world''

The Ghana Education Service has planned series of activities which includes debates among students on the topic '' mathematics is a necessity'' and other mathematics based activities.

This year's celebration is shifted to the 17th of February because 14th fell on Sunday.

A circular on this was written on the 8th of February, 2021 and was distributed to all school through their regional directors.
