Ghana Education Service (GES) is one of the organisations in Ghana.The Ghana Education Service is responsible for Providing and overseeing Basic Education, Senior High Education, Technical Education as well as Special Education. GES is also responsible of registering, supervising and inspecting private pre-tertiary educational institutions.
And Ghana Education Service is also responsible of making sure that everything in the Basic School level go on well since the covid -19 came. And since the global pandemic came, it has affected the way our Basic School students go to school especially the Junior High School students. Before the Covid-19, our Junior High School students where going to school for three teams during an academic year. And since the covid-19 came our JHS students are now going for two semesters within the year.
Our Junior High School students and teachers in the Country started their second semester on 6th July, 2021. They have been going to school for almost two months now and some of the teachers and students in the Junior high schools were asking for a midterm break. But now there is good new for all the teachers and students at the Junior High School level. Ghana Education service has come out to released a date in which our Junior High School (JHS) teachers and students in Ghana will go for midterm break.
According to the Ghana Education Service, all teachers in the Junior High Schools (JHS) are to go on midterm break, starting from Monday, 6th September, 2021 and will end on Friday 10th September, 2021.
The Ghana Education Service added that, all teachers and learners are to return to their various schools on Monday, 13th September, 2021 to perdue effective teaching and learning.
