GES Provides An Update On The Promotional Exam Of Professional Teachers

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has provided an update in respect to the 2021 GES promotional exam.

Information sighted by HOTENT indicates there was an emergency meeting held two days ago at the headquarters of the Ghana Education Service.

The meeting was headed by lawyer Anthony Boateng, who is the Deputy Director in charge of management services and assistant secretary to the Ghana Education Service council. The recently held meeting was focused on the way forward for this year promotions.

After long deliberations on the promotions, they drew a conclusion that, the results will be out on Wednesday, 5th may 2021.

However, the pass mark for the result of the promotional exam is pegged at 50/75.

Furthermore, the marks for the self appraisal shall not be considered because it has been abused by the professionals.

There was an indication that regardless of the above pass mark, all ranks must exceed the 50% limit, but shall not be more than 52%.

In the case where the pass mark for a particular category of rank does not reach the 50% mark, the pass mark shall be brought down for that rank till 50% of professionals reach the pass mark.

HOTENT will ensure all professional teachers who partook in the promotional exam, as well as interested parties, are updated on the situation.
