Teachers in the Senior High Schools deserve to be paid books and research allowance. The teachers conduct research to prepare themselves adequately for lesson delivery. A good teacher should not recycle his lesson notes, a teacher should be able to develop content out of the topics prescribed by the school curriculum. The school curriculum contains the topics to be treated for academic year.

Senior High School teachers can publish books out of the lesson notes they prepare for their students by compiling the daily lesson notes for academic year for a year group of students. Lecturers at the Universities are paid with books and research allowance, this allowance can be extended to the Senior High Schools.
Majority of Senior High School teachers rely on textbooks available in the schools to prepare their content delivery, research allowance for teachers in the Senior High Schools will encourage them to develop their own content and improve on their knowledge and skills.
Payment of books and research allowance has been a challenge for the government. Recently, tutors of Colleges of Education have demanded their status to be upgraded to the level of University lecturers.
The Education ministry can develop an online portal as a research hub for tutors to publish their content, the portal can also be use to run advertisements for companies, the traffic fee generated from this portal can be use to fund the book and research allowance and maintenance of the portal. With a research hub, content piracy and originality of the author can be checked, authors who produce quality content should be rewarded. This will improve the quality of research of tutors in the various level of education. The portal can be developed on a mobile app for students and the general public who may find it interesting.
