
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has indicated that some laptops under “One Teacher One Laptop” initiative have been received and are ready for distribution.
This was revealed in a press statement signed by the Deputy Director-General of GES, Anthony Boateng.
According to the statement, as part of the modalities to ensure a smooth distribution process, all Regional Directors to work with with Headmasters/mistresses of Senior High Schools in their Regions to provide them with a validated list of names and staff ID numbers of Teachers in their various Schools.
By this, Ghana Education Service is entreating all Regional and District Directors of Education to submit this information to the Director-General latest by midday, Friday, 30th July 2021.
This must be treated with the necessary attention and urgency to ensure a Smooth distribution. The introduction of the new Common Core Curriculum Program in schools has called for the integration of ICT in teaching and learning. These laptops are to help facilitate the goal of the CCCP.
