KNUST student dismissed for stealing laptop at University's main library

The Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has suspended four students for their misconducts.


In a notification published on KNUST notice board on Twitter https://twitter.com/KNUSTNotice/status/1430612779065647107?s=08 this 25th day of August, 2021, the nmaes of the students, their offences and punishment were specified.


Among the list of students were Mr Baffour Owusu Konadu, Mr Rexford Joseph Bonney, Mr Patrick Dwamena Sekyere, Mr Dwumah Ramsey Ohene-Tutu.


Per the information, Mr Rexford has been rasticated for two academic years for his involvement in unauthorized installation of "Odikro" at unity hall.


Mr Baffour has also been rasticated for one academic year for gross misconduct as well as bringing the name of the University into disrepute.


Mr Patrick Dwamena on the other hand, has been suspended indefinitely for extortion of monies from students with the failed promise of securing them accommodation at GUSSS and SRC hostels.


Mr Dwumah Ramsey however has been dismissed for the theft of two laptops from main university library.

Parents/guardians and all relevant officers of the University has been notified accordingly.
