Nicole-Marie A.A. Poku is a partner of the Sory@Law firm with practice interest in corporate law, commercial law, intellectual property law, conveyancing, arbitration and litigation.
Nicole-Marie has vast experience in corporate and commercial law having advised and served a diverse range of clients including multinationals, financial institutions and universal banks. In her practice she has represented clients and served on a number of arbitration hearings. She is also an excellent negotiator who deploys these skills in difficult cases to avoid drawn out trial processes by bringing results to clients in good time.
Nicole-Marie is also a contributor to Women, Business and the Law 2018, 2019 which is part of a series of biennial reports focused on achieving gender equality by advocating for reforms in the law. Besides law practice, Nicole-Marie serves her community by volunteering to serve as Head, Corporate Affairs on the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies, Africa (CSDS Africa) a non-profit, non-partisan think tank dedicated to improvement in security and governance transitions in stable, fragile, failed and conflict-affected states in Africa. She is part of a team which hosts a various programmes targeted at raising awareness in and promoting the areas of Maritime Security, Border Security, Cyber security among others.
