In a letter sighted online, Hon. Adwoa Sarfoa who serves as the Minister for Gender Children and Social Protection terminated the appointment contract of Gertrude Quashigah.
However, the reason for her termination is not specified in the letter declaring the dissolution of her appointment.
The letter only indicates that she will be given one month's salary in advance.
In the letter, Gertrude Quashigah is expected to hand over all the necessary documents in her possession and other properties of the Ministry to the Chief Director of the Ministry.

Before her termination of the contract, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah was the National Coordinator for the School Feeding Programme.
She took over from Dr. Kwame Adu-Nsiah who was also fired in March 2020
After the removal of Dr. Kwame Adu-Nsiah, Gertrude first served as acting coordinator before given the role officially.
