The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) ended on the 21st October, 2022 and the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is projected to release the results after the release of the West African Secondary Schools Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
As per the standard practice of WAEC, the BECE and other examinations administered by WAEC are released 45 days after the last paper.
The WASSCE followed a similar procedure and was released within the 45-days period hence the BECE is expected to be same or go a little further.
The last paper ended on October 21, 2022, it is projected that the results will be released before on December 5, 2022. December 5, 2022 is 45 days after the last paper was written. However, if weekends are considered, this could go further and might enter the festive season.
With all these factors considered, the results could be released in January 2023 subject to the calender of the Ministry of Education's calender.
