Electricity is one of the essential things in modern day communication and learning processes. Most schools require electricity to organise preps and teach during the night.
Information trickling from the District Education Directorates indicate that, Ghana Education Service Headquarters is urgently seeking to know all Junior High Schools in the country with electricity.
According to the District Human Resource Management Development officers Heads of Junior High Schools should respond to message as early as possible.
Headteachers of Junior High Schools should communicate whether their school have electricity or not to the Ghana Education Service Headquarters through their respective Human Resource Management Development officers by tomorrow, Monday 24th May, 2021.
The reason for this urgent move by the Ghana Education Service has not been made public. However, looking at how the Ghana of Ghana and the Ministry of Education is committed to improving the teaching of Information Communication Technology (ICT), an overview of school with electricity will help.
It is not clear as why the secular is silent about the availability of electricity power in Kindergarten and primary schools.
