Good News For All Teachers On What They Need To Know.

Teaching profession is one of the recognised professions in Ghana, Africa and the world at large. Without teachers, I think the future of the young ones can not be gotten so easily. Teachers especially in Ghana are obviously working hard to see to it that every ward has his or her needs met. It is not surprised that successful politicians, business tycoons, engineers, senior lecturers amongst others are products of teachers.


It's with this reason I would like to share this good news to our teachers on what they need to know about these charts as far as their profession is concerned.


Every school is made up of about 4 charts. Which basically educate and tell us about what the various roles to be played by every teacher in the school in which he or she find him or herself.

1. Staff Profile Chart. This particular chart basically presents to us some important details of every teacher in the school. This contains his name, registered number, staff Id number, accademic qualifications, subject taught and contact. The teacher always makes sure that all this information found in this particular chart is authentic.


2. Teachers Attendance Chart. This is where every teacher is marked when he is present or absent from the school. It has a good sign which shows the teacher is present, but the one with the wrong sign clearly shows he or she is absent, however, the P sign shows that the teacher is absent but seeked for permission from the headteacher.


3. Weekly Lesson Note Chart. This chart is where the teacher's lesson plan preparations are captured. He is marked with the correct sign after submitted his prepared lesson plan within the week, however, marked with a wrong sign when fails to do so. All this is done on this particular chart.

4. Action Plan Chart. This one is talking about the general activities carried on within the term, such as the general objectives of the school, the use of the registers, formation of other activities such as co-curricula ones and organisations of terminal exams for the students as a way of evaluating them.
