The long serving educational institution working with blind and visually impaired students in the town of Akropong in the Eastern Region of Ghana, The Akropong School for the Blind is on the news again and this time around not on a good note as students of the school have hit the streets to demonstrate against the headmistress over bad leadership.
According to report sighted on United Television (UTV) students of the school embarked on the said demonstration for their current Headmistress to be taken off her position as the head of the school on the grounds that, she has zero sympathy for the student following some allegations leveled against her.
According to the School prefect who spoke to UTV, students of the school are facing hardship under their Headmistress’ administration as he claim that, they are not properly fed in the school and when a Good Samaritan visits the school to donate some items for the school the said Headmistress ‘sits’ on them instead of using them to feed the student.
He went on to state that, they have no doubt that their Headmistress has reached her retirement but due to her bad deeds, she might have reduced her age to keep her as the Headmistress for more than necessary.
They went on the add that, they are pleading with the directorate of Ghana Education Service to come to their aid and change their headmistress for them.
