GNAT Sends "Strong" Message To The Government Over Challenges They Are Facing In All The Schools

Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Chairman Rev. Dr. Isaac Owusu speaking in an interview with Adom FM has sent another strong message to the government and Ghana Education Service.

Dr. Isaac speaking in an interview with Kwabena Adu Kumi revealed the government has failed to pay their allowances over the years and it has been accumulated.

Secondly, the government and Education Service have introduced a new curriculum for all the public schools in Ghana but the syllabus and the books the teachers will use to teach the students are still not available as we speak.

He spoke about the pension and he added most of the teachers go through a lot when they go on pension. The money which they are supposed to receive in a short time sometimes takes them years which is not pleasant and their allowances also don’t come us is supposed to be.

In his conclusion, he said they have sent a strong message to the government and Ghana Education Service, and if nothing is done. They will step on the street and protest.
