Government Releases 67m To Colleges of Education Amidst Fear Of Public Criticism

Excitements grace Colleges of Education as the government of Ghana has revealed that it has released an amount of 67m to the Colleges across the country.

This is as a result of the earlier letter directed at the Minister of Education to have teacher trainees in the various colleges to fend for themselves since the colleges can no longer supply food for the student-teachers.

The PRO for PRINCOF revealed that effective May 8, all colleges would allow students to buy their own food since they(colleges) cannot continue to feed students because food suppliers have decided not to supply food items due to the huge debts.

Speaking on the issue raised by PRINCOF, the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum made it known to the public that in other for their government to fulfill it promises to the Ghanaian people and the students, the government has released an amount of ¢67, 942, 652 to the 46 Colleges of Education. He mentioned.

The Minister mentioned that the new patriotic party is willing to see the good of every sector amidst the challenges of the country.

The Minister reiterated the fact that though things are though for the citizenry, the Akuffo Addo led government will do all that it can to support the people in this trying times.

Dr. Yaw Adutwum was optimistic that things will turn around since they have made this payments.
