NAGRAT urges government to increase salaries of public workers

The National Graduate of Teachers as part of their May Day celebration urges government to increase the salaries of public workers most especially teachers in other to meet the high economic rate.

According to Nagrat the inflation rate of the economy in commodities like building materials does not match with the salaries of low income earners especially teachers. The union is therefore urging the government as a matter of urgency to either increase the salaries of teachers by 15% or reduce the prices of the commodities.

For instance a bag of Cement as of 2020 was GH¢45 however it is now GH¢50 which has been a trauma on the low income earners. So the union is therefore pleading on the government to act on this peace of information accordingly since it has much more effect on many people working with low income.

They are urging the government to come to the aid of the teachers so as to make the of the teacher comfortable for them to put on their best.
