UCC-3 Semester Program: Will certificates of newly trained teachers be rejected?

I have great concern in issues relating to the welfare of teachers as well as general education. In this article, I am going to make a request based on the plight of some pertinent problem a colleague of mine is facing regarding the UCC - 3 semester program for teachers' upgrading and who actually qualifies to pursue it

You will recall that just last year this program was brought in for easy upgrading of teachers but it seems there is no clarity in things

A newly trained teacher at Yagha in the Jirapa municipal of the Upper West region has this to say. According to him, he was denied approval by his school SISOs and the Municipality after he had written a recovery letter through his school headteacher to pursue the program

In this he said he was directed to the District Human Resource Manager who told him: "Your certificate shall not be recognized after completion"

After carrying the same complain to the regional education office,he was reliably told the same. That because of GES standards a teacher is supposed to serve for some years before pursuing any course of study.

We write to know our plight. GES should clarify related issues dearly for newly trained teachers who are pursuing this program for whom we know they have not served any years before taking this program
