One avenue of bragging among senior high schools in Ghana is their performance in the annual national science and maths quiz competition. If your school does well then you get the right to brag about your school being one of the best in the country.
The 2021 edition of the competition has brought some shocks and surprises as well. Many of the big schools have been eliminated by the lesser known schools.
But my alma mater, the great Dzo Lali is making me proud.
The Eagle is flying higher and higher. We started this year's competition from the region where we participated in the regional championship and won.
The Regional Champions
We then proceeded to the national championships in KNUST, Kumasi and we have made it to the semifinals. The performance of our contestants in the quarter final contest has surprised a lot of people. Even those who ruled us out of contention are supporting us. We blew St Louis and Ghana National College away in the quarter finals.
We are looking forward to our semi-final contest on Tuesday and we are very sure of progressing to the finals and ultimately lifting the trophy. I wish them the very best.
Dzo Lali, Now or Never
