Some professional teachers are not happy with the Ghana Education Service's reluctance to upgrade them (teachers). These teachers are mostly Diploma in Basic Education holders who have undergone further training in various areas of methodology and pedagogy.
The Ghana Education Service informed professional teachers across the country who wish to go for further studies to apply for permission, some months ago.
Ghana Education Service through the District, Municipal and Metropolitan Education Directorates, is asking all such teachers (those who applied for permission to go for further studies) to come for their permission letters. The teachers can go for the letters from today, Tuesday 15th June, 2021.
Ghana Education Service used this opportunity to warn teachers without permission letters not to pursue any further studies as they will have themselves to blame after completion.
"Please inform your teachers who have applied for Permission for further studies that, their permission letters are ready for collection at the Municipal Education Office".
Ghana Education Service also want to teachers to note that, permissions should be sought for Master's, Sandwich and Distance programmes.
