Beautiful Photos Of UPSA AstroTurf That Is First Among Ghana Universities

The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has set the pace in the modernization of football pitches among Ghanaian Universities.

The school has installed an AstroTurf on their pitch which is meant to harness the sporting potential in the university.

The new Artificial Grass which was commissioned by President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo of Friday is a 5000 seating capacity.

It is made up of a FIFA standard pitch size, a changing room, floodlights and some offices.

According to a reliable source, the cost of the project is estimated to be around GH¢ 4 million which the school was able to generate from their internal funds.

This is not the first time an AstroTurf has been installed in a Ghanaian school football field but it is the first of its kind among universities in Ghana.

The commissioning of this project saw the presence of Kurt Okraku (President of Ghana Football Association), Asamoah Gyan and Laryea Kingston together with other prominent Ghanaians.
