CAMFED draws attention of education policy makers, stakeholders to enhance Learner Guide Programme

CAMFED, has coordinated an open day at Mankesssim, in the Focal Locale to sharpen training strategy producers, understudies and different partners on its "Student Guide" program. 

The Student Guide Program is intended to empower inspirational facilitators to visit schools with a 'self-advancement educational plan' named: "My Better World" to motivate and empower understudies to take mindful choices for their future and make fruitful post-school advances. 

Mrs Matilda Bannerman-Mensah, the Board Director, CAMFED Ghana, said in acknowledgment of the significance of the 'Student Guide Program' in boosting youngsters' fitness for learning and improving their possibilities after school, the Ghana Instruction Administration, in 2019 conceded authorisation for CAMFED to grow the program to 83 schools. 

Recipient schools are spread across the Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, Upper West, Focal, Bono, Ashanti, More noteworthy Accra, Eastern and Western Districts. 

The educational plan is conveyed over a year time frame through week after week meetings in class for young men and young ladies in open senior secondary schools. 

Mrs Bannerman-Mensah said with financing from the Sovereign's Trust and getting going as a pilot, CAMFED executed the 'Student Guide Program' in 18 public senior secondary schools across 11 regions. 

She said 540 student guides arrived at 21,683 understudies in the Gomoa West, Abura Asebu Kwamankese, Mfantseman, Tamale Metro, West Mamprusi, West Gonja, Bole, Chereponi, Yendi, Bongo and East Mamprusi areas in the Focal and Northern locales. 

Nana Baffuah Awuah, Chief, Pre-Tertiary, Service of Schooling, requested that the understudy recipients exploit the assets from CAMFED to release their possibilities.
