The Ghana Education Service has set Thursday, 23rd September, 2021, for the deadline of this year's promotion application. Report coming in from the various Regions and Districts indicate that, some promotion applicants have been encountering challenges in the application process.
Ghana Education Service has informed all prospective candidates who have challenges with the promotion portal to report to their respective Regional Education Directorates for immediate attention.
One District Human Resource Management and Development ( HRMD) Officer in the Ashanti Region wrote:
"Please inform teachers (if any) who are having challenges with respect to the Ghana Education Service promotion portal to report to the Regional Human Resource Management and Development ( HRMD) Officer not later than Thursday, 23rd September, 2021, for early redress"
It has widely reported that, some of the promotion applicants are complaining that they made mistakes when quoting one of the following details:
1. Rank or
2. STAFF ID or
3. Telephone number
Others are also complaining that they could not apply at all, because system gives feedbacks like error saving application, Staff lD already exists or Duplicate application etc.
Again, Teachers are advised to take the following documents to the Regional Education Offices. They include all relevant certificates, appointment letter, current payslip and previous or last upgrading or promotion letter.
Teachers who refuse to go to the Regional Education Directorate on time, do so at their own peril.
