Mother Ghana historically, as a nation has actually produced scholars upon scholars from the Era of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana and his generation. But it appears that, the modern generation of students in Ghana ranging from Kindergarten level to the various higher institutions are not committed to learning which can help develop the country.
Students nowadays have no time to sit down and read their books and for that matter most of them normally fail their exams.
Odehye3ba Prof Kay, Government and Social Studies tutor at the renowned and most outstanding WASSCE performing SHS, CENTRE COLLEGE OF GHANA in Kintampo says, it will rather take the intervention of God to change the status of the mindset of the current generation of students the nation have to learn if the leaders of the country fail to put some measures in place.
He says, Ghanaian students do not have have time to read but the few who do so also do not attach seriousness to their studies.
Many people today in their respective professions in the country cannot perform to expectations leading to poor productivity.
He also says, if Ghana fails to ensure serious academic work and out of that produce quality products, it will not urger the nation.
