GES to give 53 busses and Pick up Vehicles to Senior High Schools in Greater Accra
Ghana Education Service has taken delivery of busses to be given to Senior High Schools in Greater Accra.
Ghana Education Service assured Senior High Schools that received pick up vehicles before 2016 that, they will be given new pick up vehicles.
Schools in other regions that were given pick up vehicles before 2016 were given brand new Toyota Hilux pick up vehicles before December, 2020.
The vehicles were given to the schools in batches region by region.
Greater Accra schools could not receive the pick up vehicles and busses, Ghana Education Service assured the schools, the distribution of the pick up vehicles is still ongoing.
On Monday 1st March 2021, the Director General of Ghana Education Service indicated that, they have taken delivery of busses to be given to the schools in Greater Accra Region.
Some schools have no busses, the busses are used by the schools for educational trips and sporting activities.
Some of the schools rent busses to transport students for educational trips and sporting activities.
The transportation cost has been a burden on most of the Senior High School heads.
The delivery of busses is a good news to the Senior High Schools in Greater Accra Region.
