The NSMQ Ashanti Regional Qualification began a few days ago. The Day Three of the qualification contest took off today, Tuesday, ay 25, 2021. The first contest of the day featured Tweneboa Kodua SHS, Osei Tutu SHS, Okomfo Anokye SHS and Antoa SHS.
The contest was really an exciting one to watch as three schools obtained the same points at the End of Round 3. Tweneboa Kodua SHS, Osei Tutu SHS and Okomfo Anokye SHS all had 31 points at the End of Round 3. This meant that any of the three schools could secure a place in this year's National Championship.
All the students and well-wishers thought the top-notch performance of Tweneboa Kodua SHS could get them the access to the ticket to national competition in Accra but this did not happen. Osei Tutu slowly but sure overtook the contestants from Tweneboa Kodua SHS and won the competition. Contestants for Osei Tutu SHS picked two of the Riddles in the last round earning 7 points in the process. Osei Tutu SHS ended the contest with 38 points.
Below is the final scores of the competing schools
- Osei Tutu SHS: 38 points
- Tweneboa Kodua SHS: 34 points
- Okomfo Anokye SHS: 31 points
- Antoa SHS: 19 points
