Parliament Of Ghana has disclosed that some parents of Achimota Preparatory and junior high school today, 2nd June, 2021 has petitioned the speaker of Parliament, Hon RT Kingsford Asumana Alban Bagbin to help them and he has assured them that he will present their petition to the floor of parliament for further discussion.
According to parliament of Ghana reporting the news on social media, they stated that Achimota preparatory and junior high school want speaker of Parliament to help them to find an amicable solution to attempts to evacuate the school from its current location and to change their school name by the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education.
They stated that the speaker of Parliament in respond told that he will present their petition to the August house of Parliament for further discussion and will find solution to the issue as brought before him.

Some parents and teachers of Achimota Preparatory and Junior High School (APS) today petitioned the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Alban S.K. Bagbin to help them to find an amicable solution to attempts to evacuate the school from its current location and to change their school name by the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education.
The school was established in 1950 and has been sharing the land with Achimota Senior High School for over seventy years (70).
Speaker Bagbin assured them that the matter will be presented on the floor of parliament for further discussion.
