Meet all the National Science and Mathematics Quiz Mistress Since 1993.[Pictures]

The National Science and Mathematics has proved to be the most watched educational competition in Ghana. The quiz is an annual science and mathematics content based competition for all senior high school in the country. The quiz has gone through the secondary school system in the country and the few academic events that brings all the Ghana's secondary schools together. The objective of the quiz is to promote the study of science and maths and help students develop quick thinking while fostering healthy academic among senior high schools in the country. The national Science and maths quiz is the longest running educational programme on Ghanaian television and it has been hosted by some celebrity mistress.

In this article, we bring you all the quiz mistress since the educational show started in 1993.

*Prof. Marian Ewurama Adday (1993-2000)

Madam Marian was a Ghanaian biochemist and the first Ghanaian woman to attain the rank of full professor of natural science. She is the first host of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz and become a role model for school girls and budding female scientist.

She was awarded the UNESCO Kalinga prize award for popularization of science. She was born on 7th February,1942 and died on 14th January,2014 aged 71 years.

**Dr. Eureka Emefa Adomako (2001-2005).

Before Prof. Adday leaved as the quiz mistress, she recommend Dr.Eureka Emefa Adomako to take over from her as quiz mistress from 2001-2005. She has a Botanist at the University of Ghana,Kevin and is currently a senior lecturer at the department of plant and environmental biology at the University of GHANA, Legion.

***Dr.Elsie Effah Kaufmann (2006-Present).

In 2006, Dr. Adomako was to leave to undertake postgraduate studies abroad, so she handed over to Dr. Elsie Effah Kaufmann. She is a Ghanaian academic, biomedical engineer and has been in the driver's seat since 2006.

She is also the first female recipient of the 2018 golden torch award for international academic leadership by the National society of black engineers (NSBE) at the 44th annual conference held in the USA.
