The National Inspectorate Board (NIB) has been made an autonomous body to strengthen inspection and supervision of both public and private schools in the country. Therefore, the name was changed to National Schools Inspectorate Authoritiy (NaSSIA).
Reports coming in indicate that the National Schools Inspectorate Authoritiy is embarking on a rigorous inspection exercise to schools. Information from Sekyere South District of the Ashanti Region claim that members of the Authority have been to some schools today, Tuesday 8th June, 2021.The report further revealed that, they (NaSSIA team) are moving in pairs.
Some of the documents that were inspected include Inventory book, School Log Book, staff attendance book and class registers. The rest are staff movement book, teachers' lesson notes books and pupil exercise books.
Teachers of the schools visited were asked to teach for observation by the NaSSIA officers. It is worth noting that, the officers may report to a school as early as 6:30 am.
General school atmosphere and conditions of classrooms are very high on the agenda of the National Schools Inspectorate Authoritiy.
Heads of Schools and their teachers will be briefed by the officers about what they (officers) found out.
