The Citi FM foundation has hands over a 30- bed girls dormitory to Baptist School Complex And Orphanage (BASCO). On the 5th April 2021 the company as part of its Easter feast donated stationery, cash and other foods items to the school. At the event, the management of the Basco stated that the school lacks girls dormitory which have been hindering their work.
Four months later, the over 30 bed girls dormitory has been built for the school and two rooms were also built for the teachers. The dormitory consists of nine(9) showers and six(6) toilet seats. The girls at the school can now have a good place to sleep. They also noticed that the area was having challenges in terms of electricity.
The building is self-sustained when it comes to electricity and it is also having a solar power that will produce light for the facility. The head of programs at Citi FM and Citi TV Jessica Opare Saforo shows appreciation to the individual and organisation who donated towards the project. The Rockster roofing system a private entity also supported the project by roofing the building.
They has also promised to to have partnerships with the foundation to do other projects. It was an amazing moment for the Director of BASCO Rev. Victor Ofori Amoah for achieving the dream of having a girls dormitory for the school. He also gave thanks to the foundation and to people who helped in building the dormitory for the school.
