Since the reopening of the various schools across the length and breathe of the country, statistics from the Ghana Education Service, Ministry of Health, and the Ghana Health Service have shown that over 2000 second cycle students contracted the virus.
This 2000 students happens to have been recorded in 300 senior high schools across the country. The school with the highest number of recorded cases happens to be Accra Girls.
The headmistress of the school said that upon this records the school have been observing all the covid protocols and if not that she is sure the school would have even been worse to the pandemic. She added that the school is determined to ensure that no new cases are recorded as they will improve upon their management level.
The assistant head teacher also added that because of the pandemic they do not allow visitors to visit the students rampantly because of the spread of the virus and any person who happens to visit the school is usually taken through all the covid protocols. Their names are booked at the gate for easy contact tracing.
