He comes from Kumasi Ahwia in the Ashanti Region. Both his parents are Muslims and from zongo. He managed to memorized the entire Qur'an at the age of twelve (12). When it comes to Islamic teachings and principles, he stands out among his peers.
His appearance in the National Science and Maths Quiz competition and becoming a champion is a great news for the people of Zongo communities that they can do it. Abdul Majeed Abdulla is an inspiration to a lot of Muslim youths out there to also put up their best to make Zongo proud.
