WAEC Cancels Results of 2,863 Wassce Candidates, 384 others withheld - Full Details

The head office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in Ghana has released the provisional results of 375,763 candidates who sat for the WASSCE this year.

The long awaited results have finally been made public and it's currently accessible on the WAEC official website, via voucher.

The final results will soon be delivered to the candidates' various schools.

A total of 976 schools entered for the examination, with a higher number of students more than the year 2019.

Also many candidates were said to have achieved greater grades in core subjects English Language and Mathematics than in the previous year, except for Social Studies and Integrated Science.

Out of 375,763 candidates who registered 3,343 were absent during the examination and here are the statistical performance of the students in all the core subjects.


Those who maintained between Grades A1-C6

1) English Language - 212,866 (57.34% )

2) Mathematics - 243,904 ( 65.71%)

3) Integrated Science - 194,891 (52.53%)

4) Social Studies - 38,584 (64.31%)

Furthermore, the subject results of some 2,383 candidates have been cancelled for introducing foreign materials into the examination hall, tearing part of their paper, collusion or asking for assistance.

Other 480 candidates have also had their entire results cancelled for using mobile phones in the exam hall.

Some remaining 384 candidates have had theirs being withheld until further notice.
