The Education Minister designate, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, in the process of his vetting gave the assurance that he would pursue a meticulous and strapping education system to bridge the disproportion between children in the southern and northern parts of the country.

Therefore, when approved as the Education Minister, he promised to tap into the rural telephony connectivity project being pursued by the Ministry for Communications to ensure that children everywhere in the country have access to the Internet to promote teaching and learning. He also said that a development is underway which may see learners acquiring from the ministry, digital devices specifically a Tablet (phone) to enable them to study through the internet.

"It is in the light of this, that my Ministry will be exploring ICT to build resilient education systems to bring educational transformation in the midst of the pandemic." - Dr Adutwum.

From all that the minister is saying concerning the digitization process, one thing is certain that the introduction of the teacher's laptops may also be used to connect their students through the internet to promote teaching and learning even should schools be close down again.
