Mrs Gertrude Quashigah was appointed as the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme in the early month of the year 2020 during the tenure of the previous Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Mrs Cynthia Morrison.
This followed after the previous occupant of that office, Dr. Kwame Adu Nsiah was taken off the post.
This was made known in a letter signed by the Minister of that sector, Hon Sarah Adwoa. The content of the later read;
This is to inform you of the termination of your appointment as National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme with immediate effect.
You will be paid one month salary in lieu notice as stipulated in your contract agreement.
Kindly handover any Official document or property in your custody to the chief director of the ministry.
We appreciate your support towards the execution of the mandate of the Ghana School Feeding Programme during the period.
We wish you well in your endeavours.
