According to the GES the issue has been subjected to investigation.
The suspension contained in a Facebook post read, “Mr. Francis Donkor , Headmaster of Jachie Pramso SHS has been interdicted effective 7th September 2021 pending investigations into the alleged canning of a student. He has been directed to hand over Administration and Management of the school to the Ashanti Regional Director of Education.”
According to the victim, Mary, she was awarded countless lashes after giving out her jacket to a male student who was half-naked as a punitive measure for wearing the unprescribed uniform to class.
The headmaster is reported to have taken the boy’s shirt and had ordered him to go to the dormitory half-naked to put on the prescribed uniform before coming back to the classroom.
The headmaster, according to the girl, saw the boy going to the dormitory while wearing a jacket, and when he found out that, it was the girl who gave the jacket to the boy, he gave her several lashes at her back resulting in bruises, United Television reported.
