NSMQ 2021: Prempeh College Lifts Cup But Ketasco Celebrates Victory

The National Science and Maths Quiz cane to an end yesterday at Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital. The venue was Golden Tulip Hotel. It was a fierce battle between Prempeh College in Kumasi, Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) in Legon and Keta Senior High Technical School KETASCO).

PRESEC had won the cup for six times and was struggling to do it the seventh time. They went to the contest with the slogan 'SEVEN A LIVING GOD'. Prempeh college on the other hand had won it four times and wanted to win for the 5th time. They came with Hi5.

For KETASCO, it was their first appearance at the grand finale and they were the first school from Oti/Volta zone to had qualified to the grand finale. They went to the finales with the slogan 'GOD OF WONDERS'.

It promised to be a fierce contest and indeed if did. After the five rounds, contestants had proofed their worth. Eventually, the men were separated from the boys and the most deserved carried the day.

Prempeh college emerged winners with PRESEC Legon placing second and KETASCO taking 3rd place.

But KETASCO celebrated more than Prempeh College which carried the day. When asked why they were so happy, students and teachers of the school said they were happy they made it to the finales for the first time. They believe it was the opener and subsequently, they will lift the cup.
