The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) after postponing the conduct of the 2021 WASSCE Physics and Business Management papers amid leakage has communicated a new date to administer the subject papers.
In a statement dated on 17th September and signed by Head, Test Administration Division, G-Ohene Mantey, the Council said the 2021 WASSCE for School Physics 1 & 2 papers will be conducted on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 8:30 to 11:15 to candidates partaking in the ongoing examination.
For the 2021 WASSCE Business Management papers 1 & 2, the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) has also indicated that it will also be administered on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 13:00hrs to 16:00hrs.
“The Physics papers will be conducted on Friday, October 1, 2021, and Business Management papers on Thursday, October 7, 2021. All heads of schools are to note the new date and inform their candidates,” WAEC stated.
The Examinations Council on September 15, 2021, announced the postponement of the two subject papers after it found questions for the Wednesday papers on various social media platforms ahead of the conduct of the exams.
Speaking to the media at a press briefing on September 15 2021, the Head of Test Administration Division – WAEC, Mr George Ohene Mantey promised that his outfit in due course will communicate the date to conduct the rescheduled papers to candidates. Now they have communicated the date.
In related development, the one of the source behind the Leakage of the physics and Business Management papers which caused WAEC to reschedule a date for these papers has been arrested at Kasoa.
This was disclosed by a a WAEC official, "The West African Examinations Council has managed to arrest Godfred Darko or Mr Phresh from Central Region, the operator of the popular Apor WhatsApp group dubbed Jerusalema,”. It is said that the security team is still after some of the administrators who are also behind the apor group.
