Ghanaian raising female singer, Wendy Shay has dragged Nigerian Filmmaker, Elvis Chucks over the unlawful use of her song in his movie without consent.
The movie title “Slay“ features some of Ghanaian cherished actors like Kalybos and Bismark Odoi as well as top Nigerian risen actors and actresses.
According to the singer, her conduct, Rufftown Records weren't informed that song was going to be included in the film soundtrack. Neither Netflix nor the film's producers have responded publicly to the singer's claims. Now the singer has overhung to take legal demeanor against the producers if they don’t do the needful. Already number one hit movie 'Slay,' was produced by Elvis Chucks directed by Adze Ugah, stars Ramsey Nouah, Idris Sultan, Amanda du-Pont, and other African celebrities.
On April 26, 2021, the comedy debuted on the streaming platform.
