Mother’s Day 2020: What First Lady, Dumelo, Efya, and Other Ghanaian influential personalities are Saying

Today is a memorable day for a lot of people all over the world. It is a day that has been set aside to celebrate the efforts of mothers. The day celebrates what they do for their children and those of those. How they feed children, care for them, provide for them, advise them, discipline them, and help them to reach their potentials. It is not only females who have given birth that is celebrated but all females who help to raise a child.

In today’s Mother’s Day 2020 celebration a lot of influential people of society are saying something. What are they saying? The first lady of Ghana Rebecca Akuffo Addo talked about the pragmatic interventions that are needed to further the good cause of mothers.

She said so as part of her message on Mother’s Day. She said she wishes all mothers in Ghana a happy Mother’s Day. She further went ahead to say that stakeholders in the country should use this day and the occurrence of the pandemic to reflect on the plights of mothers. She said even though the NPP government is doing a lot, there is still a lot to do to further the cause of mothers.

Mr. John Dumelo also used today’s special occasion to wish all mothers a happy Mother’s Day. He took to twitter to share his simple message

Jane Awindor who is popularly known as Efya also took this opportunity to wish her mother and all mothers a happy Mother’s Day. This is what she posted on twitter.

Kennedy Agyapong the MP for Assin Central was also not to be left out. He also took to twitter to wish Ghanaian mothers a happy Mother’s Day.

Fidelity Bank as part of efforts to celebrate mothers and the wonderful deeds they perform has launched a Mother’s Day Facebook game for both its customers and prospective customers. The game began at 10 am and ends at 4 pm with a possible 2100 cedi’s reward for each winning participant. You just have to search for fidelity bank Ghana on Facebook and join this wonderful initiative. There is going to be a cash giveaway amounting to 10,500 cedi’s
