Meet Fela Kuti, The Legend Who Married 27 Wives In One Day And Also Divorced All Of Them In One Day.

Hello everyone, hope you're having an amazing and fun filled week as always, on today's article, I'll be taking us back in time to the moment African Afro beat single, legend and hit maker known as Fela, shocked the world and made headlines by marrying 27 women all in one very day in the year 1978. Lol, I know that most of you we're not even born by then, but don't worry, I'll be diving deep into the details.

Fela Anikulapo Kuti, was an Africa Music sensation in the 20th century and was also known as a living legend back in his good old days. He always made headlines, wether good or bad but this particular one sent shock waves across the entire African continent. It was an historic event which proved that Fela is indeed the typical African man he claims to be.

The late music sensation, Fela, married his very first wife and first love called Remilekun Taylor in the year 1960 and they even had 3 wonderful children. Although he claimed to love, respect and cherish her a lot, that still didn't stop him from marrying a whooping number of 27 women all in one particular day. According to the rumors and reports, rooming around as at then, they claimed that Fela was holding his back up dancers and singers as s$x slaves and captives. And that he was also forcefully preventing them from meeting other women. And that was why he decided to marry all the 27 of them together in anger. After the exotic wedding ceremony, he immediately took all 27 of his new wives together on an honeymoon trip to Ghana. Unfortunately, after 8 long years in marriage to them, the legendary Fela decided to finally end things and let the ladies go their own way in 1986. According to his reason, he said keeping too many wives leads to jealousy, war and envy among women.

What do you think about this Legend, Fela, the only man who dares to do this?
