There is a saying that there is a thin line between love and hate. What this simply means is that, it does not take much for people who express so much love for each other can easily turn to sworn enemies. This is often so because a lot of conviction, dedication and trust goes into building love for someone, so when all that is thrown out of the window, all that is often left is deep-seated animosity and bitterness.
This is what has played out in the relationship of two former lovers which may turn the Obuasi township into chaos on 20th March of this year.
Recounting her pain, the lady, who goes by the name Comfort, detailed how he took care of her lover when he had nothing until he had the opportunity to join the Air Force. She furthered that, all through his training period, she was always at his beck and call and supported him financially.
She stated that during his passing out, she took care of her lover’s mother who had traveled to come and witness the occasion and took her in, spending her personal money on her.
The cover started blowing when she got to know that, during his training, he was being given allowance, something her lover denied.
Long story short, she eventually got to know just recently that her lover, whom she had spent so much on was actually making arrangements to marry another lady in Obuasi on March 20th.
She wrote that much as she is hurt, she would let is pass but not her money. She has therefore made it clear that she would storm the venue of the wedding ceremony with other acquaintances to collect her money which is in the region of Ghc 30,000.
Interestingly, the suburb at Obuasi where the wedding will take place is called ‘Bra ha bebo me’, which literally means ‘come and beat me here’.
