Who is telling our story

For the past few years, the movie industry of Ghana has taken a nose dive and since not risen to it's best. This has made some actors move on to do other entertainment related programs.

Bishop Agyin Asare, the general overseer of during one of the church services of his ministry stated that the Ghanaian cannot tell their story through movies.

Ghana has historic events like the leadership of yaa Asantewaa which Ghanaian producers can use to produce story lines and used in our movies.

Speaking on peace FM's entertainment review on Tuesday afternoon, Kofi Asamoah a panelist on the program disagreed with the bishop's comments on the movie industry.

Kofi stated that the Ghanaian doesn't value their culture thereby not using it as contents for their movies.

Some panelists on the some show made claims that the movie industry is not well resourced for them to produce movies of such quality and with good story lines.
