There is a saying that "some jokes are expensive" and Giovanni, the host on Date Rush may have just passed off one. Date Rush is a show which obviously requires you to be able to handle jokes and criticism, however, Ghanaians reaction to a statement that Giovanni made claims that that was below the belt even for him.
During this week's episode of date rush, the entire participants were dazzled by the romantic display from Kingsley Kese the first male contestant. He won the hearts of almost all the ladies by giving them flowers.
After Kingsley's entrance and performance, Giovanni made the statement "Everyone Deserves a rose even Fatima".
Many Ghanaians didn't like his choice of words as many took it that Fatima wasn't worthy to receive such attention or love coming from Kingsley.
One user advised that Giovanni should be mindful of some of his statements. He goes on to state that that comment was below the belt and asks that Giovanni apologizes to her.
Others also pitched in stating that they do not like the way Giovanni treats Fatima.
From analyzing the way Giovanni conducts the show it has been noticed that in an attempt to be funny to entertain or please the crowd or live up to the expectations of the former host, he misses and simply comes of as just being rude and offensive. Suggestions are thus being called for him to be checked.
